VEHICLE TRACKING SYSTEM

|
The Automatic Vehicle Tracking System (AVTS) consists of Vehicle Tracking Units (VTU) mounted on vehicles, Fleet Management System (FMS) at Network Center and a communication network between VTU and the Network Center. The VTU has inbuilt GPS card and necessary firmware for automatic operation. The VTU retrieves the position information of the vehicle at predefined regular intervals and forwards it to the NMS at network center through the communication network. The position data received at the network center is automatically saved to a database server at network center. Fleet Operators/Users can login to the FMS to monitor their fleet/vehicle(s). The user can then view the position of vehicles on a map in real-time or in playback modes.

Vehicle Tracking Unit
The Vehicle Tracking Units (VTU) have in-built GPS receiver, Communication Hardware, Sensors and Control Logic Module, which transmits the received position and any other requested information to the Network Center automatically at predefined intervals. The VTU can also receive commands and configuration information from the Network Center.
Communication Network
The communication network provides the connectivity between the VTU and the Network Center. Typically the VTU is provided with communication hardware based on GSM Technology. Avantel also offer solutions based on Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) as well as MSS+GSM based hybrid solution.
Network Center
The Network Center consists of Network Management System (NMS), Database Server and Web based Fleet Management System (FMS). The NMS receives the information transmitted by the VTU stores it to a database. The FMS is integrated with a Geographic Information System (GIS) enabling the vehicle/fleet to be tracked on digital maps. User’s can track their fleet/vehicle by signing on to the FMS.
Key Features:
- Real-time Tracking — Watch your vehicle moving in real-time on the map, route being traversed, distance covered and at what speed. Data updation at intervals ranging from 1 second to 1 hour. Our optimum setting is 10 seconds updates.
- Speeding Limit — Setup maximum speed permissible and receive violation alert if this is breached.
- Geo-Fences — Setup restricted areas that your vehicle cannot go out of OR cannot come into and receive violation alerts when these are breached.
- Way-Points — Setup points along the route that your vehicle must travel to, within a specific time frame as an option and receive violation alerts when these are breached. Way-Points can also be used as indicators to know what part of the journey and in what time frame has been accomplished by the vehicle.
- Stoppages — Know exactly where your vehicle stopped and for how long.
- GPS Status — Know whether device is receiving data from the GPS satellites or not. Our support center keeps track of this 24/7 and alerts you whenever the device in your vehicle is not relaying data
- Panic / SOS Switch — The vehicle driver can press the 'panic switch' in the vehicle to send an alarm to our support center, SMS to a preset mobile number in case of any emergency.
- Two-way Voice Communication — Vehicle owners can talk to the driver using the 'two-way voice communication' facility eliminating the requirement of a mobile phone with the driver.
- SMS Alerts — Receive SMS alerts for device tampering, over speeding, violating Geo-Fences & Way-Points, Parking movement, battery power cut-off, over speeding and emergency alerts on your cell phone.
- Trip Report — Detailed tabular trip report right from trip start to end with in between locations, timings, speed, distance, stoppages, etc.
- Over Speeding Report — Detailed tabular trip report with date, time, route, location, speed, etc.
- Geo-Fencing Violation Report — Detailed tabular report on Geo-Fencing rules breached with date, time, route, location, speed, etc.
- Way-Points Violation/Adherence Report — Detailed tabular report on Way-Points rules violated/adhered with date, time, route, location, speed, etc.
- Movement Report — Detailed tabular trip report for day, week or required period with complete each day movement start to end with in between locations, timings, speed, distance, stoppages, etc.
- Summary Report — Summary report covering sections of each report for quick checks.
